Boarding School Admissions

Boarding School Admissions:

Some of the top boarding schools such as Phillips Exeter, Andover, Choate Rosemary Hall, Lawrenceville, Hotchkiss, St. Paul’s, and Milton,  require a rigorous application process to get in. Many of the clients that we work with are international from countries such as Shanghai and Beijing who aspire to study at these premier institutions. Others are based in the United States who seek a rigorous liberal arts education similar to the curriculum they may find at the Ivy League.

Attending a prestigious boarding school can help your odds of admission at these Ivy Leagues if you are able to excel and thrive in this rigorous academic environment. When we work with our middle school students, we evaluate their academic potential to determine whether attending a top boarding school is the right fit for them, as it sometimes can be a double edged sword if the student later finds out that he or she struggles with the rigorous curriculum and could have exceled at an easier school. These are important factors to take into consideration before you decide to shore up a hefty tuition to attend a top boarding school for your child. At IvyCollegeAdmit, we help the student in various ways, including:

  • Boarding School Admissions Program Information:
  • Guidance on how to prepare for the SSAT/ISEE to get entrance to elite boarding schools
  • How to build a strong academic profile for consideration at the country's elite boarding schools
  • Essay editing of the personal statement and other statements of interest
  • Overview of how to take advantage of boarding school's unique offerings to boost the student's profile for college admissions
  • Practice Interview Session to stand out to the admissions officers
  • Letter of recommendation strategy
